GNON MISSION STATEMENT:
"To provide an opportunity where women empower each other in a FUN and INFORMAL setting for the sake of camaraderie and business development"
WHO MAKES UP GNON AND WHERE ARE MIXERS LOCATED?
75 to 100 women from a variety of backgrounds come together each month to socialize in a fun and informal setting. Since its inception in June of 2008 by Frances Hewitt, Owner of FHI Marketing Consultants, GNON started in the Tri Valley (Pleasanton area) with 12 members and currently has over 650!
In August of 2011 a second GNON Chapter in the Delta Valley (Brentwood) was formed. Over 68 women from the Brentwood, Discovery Bay, Antioch, Oakley and outlining areas came together for fun networking at the beautiful Hannah Nicole Winery in Brentwood. The format in Delta Valley is the same as our Tri Valley Chapter and meets either on a Wednesday or Thursday of each month. Check the Event Calendar tab to view upcoming events in Delta Valley.
In January of 2012 GNON opened its third chapter in Diablo Valley (Walnut Creek area). This newest chapter, which draws women from Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, Concord, Martinez, Danville and Benicia meets primarily on the last Tuesdays of each month for a fun filled evening of networking and camaraderie. Check the Event Calendar tab to view upcoming events in Diablo Valley.
We invite YOU to be a part of the growing GNON Chapters and encourage you to check out a mixer before joining as an official member. As an official paid GNON member, you will have access to attend any of the chapters' mixers.
WHAT IS THE AGENDA AT A GNON MIXER?
The evening typically begins at 5:30pm. Announcements, raffle prizes and introductions are held at 6:45pm. While there is no formal meeting at the mixers, attendees enjoy cocktails and a light buffet throughout the evening while socializing at their own pace. The evening is spent casually networking with new friends and all attendees are encouraged to bring business cards, fliers, samples, raffle items or any other information that they would like to share with the group.
In the past, GNON mixers have been held at businesses throughout the Tri Valley such as: Hairlights Salon; Zen Pilates and Fitness; A Touch of Health Day Spa; TGI Friday's (GNON's official caterer); Pleasanton Satellite Wagering Facility; Pleasanton Rentals and Dogtopia Day Care. Delta Valley Chapter mixers have been held at Hannah Nicole Winery iand New York Life office. The Diablo Valley Chapter mixers have been held at CORT Furniture in Concord, The Studio in Danville and Anatomy Power in Blackhawk.

"Thursday, Feb. 23rd was the first GNON event held at a place other than Hannah Nicole Vineyard for the Delta Valley GNON Chapter Mixer. I hosted it at the Brentwood office of New York Life. Frankly, I wasn't expecting a "great" turn out - its easy and fun to go to winery events, but would the ladies come to a financial office? YES!! They did - we had a wonderful turnout and it was so much fun. The Girls of GNON are a fabulous group, I am so happy that I got involved."
Kim Scott, New York Life Insurance, GNON Delta Valley Chapter
“Frances, Thanks again for all you do. The GNON/B2B Tradeshow in February. It was so much fun and I just appreciate you so much for wanting to help everyone’s business”.
Courtney Coats, GoSmallBiz/LegalShield Inc., GNON Tri Valley Chapter
"Being a business woman, I do not have any time for a social life. Thanks to GNON, I actually have met the most wonderful women and have more of the closest friends than I ever have had before. Thanks to GNON, I am much happier!"
